Convenience Telephony (optional extra Code 386) offers a range of advantages and additional functions not offered by the standard-fit Bluetooth® HFP interface. In order to make use of it, either a specific mobile-phone holder or the Bluetooth® SAP telephone module is required.

The advantages of Convenience Telephony (optional extra Code 386):

Mobile-phone holders:

vehicle’s multifunction aerial is used for even better reception

mobile’s battery is charged

mobile’s antenna is deactivated

receive and read text messages, depending on mobile used

phone book entries imported from mobile

Holders are available for many popular Nokia, RIM, Apple and Sony Ericsson mobile phones.

Bluetooth® (SAP) telephone module, box/handset:

vehicle’s multifunction aerial is used for even better reception

mobile’s antenna is deactivated

receive and read text messages, depending on mobile used

phone book can be imported from mobile or SIM card, depending on mobile used.

the closed box features an integral USB port which can be used to charge the mobile phone.
