The USB flash drive is packed with navigation data for South America and intensive work means that 3 further countries (Panama, Peru and Uruguay) have been added.

The new 2015 navigation update now features a total of 13 Latin American countries/Caribbean islands, with major and minor roads, towns, villages and plenty of points of interest: Argentina, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Chile, Colombia, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Panama, Peru, St. Barthélemy, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The navigation data on the 2015 version covers over 2.6 million kilometres of road.

Intensive work means that the quality of the maps for Argentina has been significantly increased (36,545 km Prime Coverage*, compared with 24,789 km on the previous version).

The 2015 version features 197 towns and communities.

Almost 692,000 key points of interest are featured on the USB flash drive, including filling stations, car parks, museums, restaurants and hospitals. There are around 141,151 more POIs here than on the previous version. If required, the navigation system will also show the user the quickest route to 125 Mercedes-Benz service outlets.
Some 26,916 restaurants and 5953 hotels have been added to the new 2015 version.

This navigation update for NTG5 is copy-protected for COMAND Online. To import up-to-date map data, a six-digit activation code is required in addition to the USB flash drive. Each activation code represents a licence to use the map data in a single vehicle and is exclusively valid for a specific combination of vehicle, COMAND Online and map version. Navigation updates can be purchased via the same channels as to date; the required vehicle-specific activation codes are available via the VeDoc system. The newly acquired licence is documented in VeDoc at the time of purchase. A charge is made for the activation code, but it can be re-requested free of charge in VeDoc in the event of a replacement. Details of how to import up-to-date map data and input the activation code can be found in the COMAND Online operating instructions. Ordering an activation code requires access to VeDoc and specific user permissions. Access to VeDoc is free of charge. Permissions are assigned by the VeDoc hotline.
