Adds the following features to COMAND: web browser, web radio, RSS feeds.

Full integration into the on-board control and display concept: operated exclusively via controller in centre console, uses COMAND display.
The features can be selected directly via the main Mercedes-Benz InCar Internet menu: the main menu display uses Cover Flow. The main menu can be called up on the COMAND system display by holding down the “DEL” or “C” button.

Web browser:
The main menu can be used to select a saved favourite or to go to a URL text box, for unrestricted internet surfing. Browser supports http, https, mobile websites and Java Script 1.5. Standard functions such as favourites management, “Next” and “Back”, reload, cancel page loading, zoom in and out are all available. Private data such as browsing history and cookies easy to delete.
The web browser feature is only available when the vehicle is stationary – it cannot be used while on the move.

The following two features can be used while on the move:

Web radio:
Listen to your favourite station, wherever you are. Many radio stations offer live streaming of programmes on air.
Web radio stations can be saved as favourites. The broadcaster’s logo, current programme name, data rate, etc. are shown in the display if the broadcaster supports these functions. An up-to-date online database offers various search criteria, allowing you to select a station, or you can enter the URL of the live stream.

RSS feeds:
The user can subscribe to RSS feeds, generally short news updates, which can be shown on the display. These can be read aloud via a text-to-speech engine in 5 languages (German, English, French, Italian and Dutch)

Connectivity:
To display internet content, an internet connection is required. The connection can be established via a mobile which supports the Bluetooth DUN profile or via the Mercedes-Benz InCar Hotspot.
For optimum reception, it is recommended that the Mercedes-Benz InCar Hotspot is fitted.
